BP: Uzbekistan possesses 0.1bn tonnes estimated proved oil reserves

Proved oil reserves in Uzbekistan estimated at the volume of 0.1 billion tonnes or 0.6 billion barrels in 2015, British Petroleum (BP) said in its Statistical Review of World Energy 2016.
According to the BP’s report, Uzbekistan possesses 1.1 trillion cubic meters of proved natural gas reserves at the end 2015.

The report said that the volume of proved oil reserves in Uzbekistan and natural gas reserves did not change in 2015 compared to 2014.

BP said that Uzbekistan produced 3 million tonnes of oil in 2015, which fell by 3.1% compared to 2014. The company said that in average Uzbekistan produced 64,000 barrels of oil per day in 2015 (-3.1%).

Uzbekistan’s oil consumption grew by 0.1% to 2.8 million tonnes in 2015. Average daily oil consumption made up 59,000 barrels in 2015.

British company said that Uzbekistan produced 57.7 billion cubic meters of gas in 2015, which is 0.8% more compared to 2014 (57.3 billion cubic meters).

Natural gas consumption in Uzbekistan made up 50.3 billion cubic meters in 2015, which is 3.1% more compared to 2014 (48.8 billion cubic meters).

BP said that energy consumption in Uzbekistan fell to 51.6 million tonnes of oil equivalent in 2015 against 50.3 billion tonnes in 2014. At the same time, Uzbekistan consumed natural gas for 45.3 million tonnes of oil equivalent, oil for 2.8 million tonnes, coal – 1.1 million tonnes and hydropower – 2.5 million tonnes.
