Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are planning to increase bilateral trade turnover up to US$ billion in near future, Kazakh Ambassador to Uzbekistan Erik Utembaev said.
According to the envoy, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan made up US$3 billion in 2015. Kazakhstan was among top three trade partners of Uzbekistan, he added.
He said that the sides are currently developing new five-year plan of strategic partnership. Utembaev said that within the plant, the sides are planning to increase mutual trade up to US$5 billion.
He said that the sides are planning to complete development of programme for 2017-2021 and sign it in 2016.
