The leaders reviewed progress in several areas of bilateral cooperation, noting the positive developments in trade, investments, and joint ventures. Both countries have seen expanding collaboration in areas such as green energy, transport infrastructure modernization, communications, agriculture, and industry. They also discussed advancing new joint projects and strengthening economic and strategic ties.
Special attention was given to preparations for upcoming high-level events, including the second "Central Asia-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit," set to take place in Samarkand in 2025. This summit aims to deepen regional partnerships and foster dialogue on mutual development goals.
President Mirziyoyev also expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for the facilities provided to Uzbek citizens for the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, emphasizing the cultural and spiritual significance of these services. In addition, the two leaders exchanged views on regional stability, focusing on peaceful solutions to the Middle East crisis.
Earlier, President Mirziyoyev delivered remarks at the Arab-Islamic summit and met with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud and Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih to discuss ongoing projects and future opportunities for cooperation.
