The accident took place earlier today when an excavator, involved in ongoing construction work, struck a medium-pressure gas pipeline, disrupting the natural gas supply to approximately 2,400 high-rise apartments and 1,100 ground-level households in Yakkasaray. Additionally, residents along Nukus, Abdulla Qahhor, Damariq, and Hamid Sulaymon Streets in the Mirobod district were affected and experienced an unexpected disconnection.

“The natural gas supply will be gradually restored once repair work is completed,” the Ministry of Energy announced.

This incident comes just two days after a separate gas disruption in the Sariosiyo district of Surkhandarya region. On November 6, a Cobalt vehicle collided with a gas pipeline in the Bogiston neighborhood, cutting off natural gas to 700 households and three large consumers.

Authorities are urging residents affected by the disruption to remain patient as repair crews work to restore normal service. The Ministry of Energy has assured that all necessary measures are being taken to complete the repairs as swiftly as possible.
