Children from low-income families to be admitted to kindergartens on preferential terms

A presidential decree on the "Priority Measures for the Implementation of the ‘From Poverty to Prosperity’ Program" has been adopted.

The following will be implemented:

•  From January 1, 2025, children from low-income families will be admitted to state preschool education institutions on preferential terms;
•  From the 2025-2026 academic year, the living expenses of students from low-income families in dormitories of state HEIs will be covered by the state budget;
•  Starting in 2025, the "El-Yurt Umidi" Foundation will allocate special quotas for children from low-income families.

Based on the conclusions of the appointed managers of “People's Bank” JSC and “Microcreditbank” JSCB:

•  Low-income families will be granted interest-free, collateral-free loans with a five-year term and a two-year grace period for purchasing laptops;
•  To start entrepreneurial activities, low-income families will be provided with interest-free, collateral-free loans for up to five years with installment payments to purchase small production equipment worth up to 30 million UZS, mobile shops (food trucks), motorbikes, scooters, and other essential tools.
