On August 1, the maximum retail price of 3,750 UZS per cubic meter of methane for cars, set at the end of May, expired (the price was 3,350 UZS until June 1).

According to internet users, some fuel stations have increased prices to 3,950–4,250 UZS, while in some regions, gas is still sold at 3,750 UZS.

The Ministry of Finance noted that entrepreneurs will now set their own fuel prices.

There are also reports on social media about the rising price of propane. According to the Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX), the price of liquefied gas (propane) was 5.2 million UZS per ton on June 1, 6.02 million UZS per ton on July 1, and 7 million UZS per ton by July 31, indicating a 25% increase over the month and a 44% increase over two months. Similar costs were observed at the beginning of January when methane filling stations were closed or restricted, causing prices to rise.

In the first two weeks of July 1200–1600 tons of propane were put up for auction, but from July 15, the volume did not exceed 1000 tons and even fell below 800 tons.
