The Henley & Partners, an international advisory firm on visa and citizenship matters, released the traditional annual ranking of world passports.

The ranking is based on data provided by the International Air Transport Association. It considers how many countries a citizen can enter without a pre-arranged visa (either entirely visa-free or with a visa on arrival).

In the 2024 index, the Uzbek passport is ranked 79th, alongside the passports of Cuba, Mongolia, and Mozambique. Citizens of these four countries can enter 64 states without obtaining a visa in advance.

Uzbekistan's position in the Henley Passport Index over recent years:

The Singapore passport ranks first. According to Henley & Partners, Singaporean citizens have visa-free access to 195 countries.

Additionally, Canadian passport holders can enter 189 countries, US passport holders 188 countries, UAE passport holders 187 countries, and Malaysian passport holders 183 countries without a visa.

Among the former Soviet republics, Lithuania and Estonia (both ranked 9th, with visa-free access to 187 countries) and Latvia (10th, 186 countries) have the best standings.

The Ukrainian passport allows visa-free entry to 149 countries, the Georgian passport to 122 countries, the Russian passport to 120 countries, and the Turkish passport to 118 countries.

The Central Asian republics' passport rankings are as follows:

67th. Kazakhstan – 79 countries
78th. Kyrgyzstan – 65 countries
79th. Uzbekistan – 64 countries
82nd. Tajikistan – 60 countries
90th. Turkmenistan – 52 countries

The ranking concludes with the Afghan passport, granting visa-free access to 28 countries. Preceding it are Syria (29), Iraq (31), Pakistan (34), and Yemen (35).
