During the meeting, it was emphasized that relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia are rapidly developing, and this is, first of all, the result of the political will of the leaders of the two countries and the mutual aspirations of the fraternal peoples.
In particular, the scope of cooperation in the field of education is expanding, the exchange of experience between teachers and students is intensifying, and joint scientific research is being conducted on the culture and rich history of the two countries. The importance of popularizing the heritage of the great Uzbek scientists who made an invaluable contribution to the development of Islamic civilization was emphasized.
It was noted that the King Salman Academy of Arabic Language has established cooperation with scientific educational institutions in 33 countries, where 10 Uzbek students are successfully studying Arabic and are distinguished by their desire for knowledge.
During the negotiations, a number of proposals were discussed to expand and intensify cooperation, in particular, establishing connections between the Academy and private universities in our country, organizing short-term advanced training courses for teachers, increasing the quota for admitting Uzbek students, inviting Academy specialists to Uzbekistan and establishing an exchange of experience.
At the meeting, it was noted that representatives of the King Salman Academy of Arabic Language have visited Uzbekistan several times in recent years and signed a memorandum of understanding with a number of universities in our country. The readiness to increase the quota for Uzbek students to 30 was also noted.
The Saudi side also expressed interest in establishing cooperation in the field of scientific research and is ready to consider any proposals from the Uzbek side in this area.
