At the meeting, the current issues of developing strategic partnership relations between the two countries, primarily in trade-economy, investment and transport-communication spheres, were discussed.
The parties noted that the dialogues at various levels are actively continuing, the volume of mutual trade and cargo transportation, and the number of joint ventures are increasing.
The head of Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of continuing work on creating favorable conditions for increasing the volume of trade within the framework of the preferential trade agreement.
It was noted that it is important to adopt the Industrial Cooperation Program for 2025-2026, which provides for the implementation of projects in agriculture, textiles, pharmaceuticals, chemistry and other sectors.
In addition, the leaders agreed to hold the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission, a business forum and an industrial exhibition this year.
It was also emphasized the need for joint efforts in the implementation of the Trans-Afghan railway construction project. Opinions were also exchanged on issues on the regional agenda.
