On June 2, Qatar Airways launched direct flights between the capitals of Uzbekistan and Qatar, the press service of Uzbekistan Airports reports.
The first scheduled flight took off from Doha airport at 10:28 and landed in Tashkent at 13:30 local time. The flight duration was 3 hours.
“Tashkent has become a new point in the geography of our route network. Passenger flights on the Doha-Tashkent-Doha route will be operated four times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays on Airbus A320 aircraft,” Qatar Airways Senior Vice President for Eastern Regions Marwan Koleilat said.
In the future, the air carrier plans to increase the frequency of flights to Tashkent and launch flights to Bukhara and Samarkand.
