President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held meetings with leaders of leading companies from the United States, China, and Europe on May 3 at the Kuksaroy residence, under the III Tashkent Investment Forum.
Among others, he received a delegation led by Carolyn Lamm, President of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce. Leaders from companies such as "Air Products", "CNH Industrial", and "Silverleaf" participated in the meeting.
Discussions covered the expansion of American businesses in Uzbekistan, the introduction of advanced financial tools and mechanisms, and concrete plans for implementing projects in various sectors.
An agreement was reached to hold a business forum in Tashkent this year with the participation of America's leading companies and banks.
In addition, there was a meeting with Wang Bo, the President of the "CAMCE" corporation of China, discussing the construction of the Olympic Village in Tashkent city and expanding the portfolio of projects in energy, industry, and infrastructure.
Prospects for developing green energy in Uzbekistan with Cao Zhigang, the President of the "Goldwind" company, were examined. The company specializes in wind energy technologies. An agreement was made to localize the production of wind power station components and accelerate current projects.
Discussions with the "China Southern Power Grid" focused on projects to build wind power stations in the Bukhara region, hydropower accumulator stations, and high-voltage lines across the country.
The successful operation of the "Holley Group" company in Uzbekistan, specializing in the production of electric meters, was noted. An agreement was made to build a technopark in the Tashkent region and involve major Chinese companies.
Further meetings included Sabrina Soussan, President and CEO of Suez, Paolo Barletta, CEO of Arsenale Group, Johan Pelissier, President of Airbus for Europe, and Oliver Pfann, Senior Vice President of Linde for Europe and the Middle East.
The meetings highlighted the prospects of implementing specific projects in investment and innovation partnerships, water supply, civil aviation, the production of construction materials, tourism, and other sectors.
