"The political-diplomatic dialogue between Uzbekistan and Great Britain was discussed with the aim of expanding it, as well as continuing constructive cooperation on the international stage, strengthening trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian relations, and activating parliamentary ties.

During the meeting, it was particularly noted that the relationship between our countries has reached a high level in recent years," stated the Senate press service.

It was mentioned in the conversation that joint projects in the development of the green economy and the importance of strengthening cooperation to combat the effects of climate change were emphasized.

Furthermore, the development of educational and cultural-humanitarian relations was identified as a priority area. Practical aspects of expanding English-taught educational programs and preparing qualified specialists in modern fields in higher education were discussed.

"David Cameron particularly noted the positive efforts being carried out in Uzbekistan in ensuring human rights, specifically the implementation of decent work principles, achieving gender equality, and combating domestic violence.

The recent increase in inter-parliamentary cooperation was acknowledged during the meeting. The sides exchanged views on further expanding mutual dialogue in this area," the official release stated.

The head of British diplomacy had earlier met with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, where two documents aimed at expanding cooperation between the two states were signed.
