On April 17, the Cabinet of Ministers issued a resolution to improve the language and professional skills training of the youth. The document has been published on Lex.uz.

Under the Agency for External Labor Migration, a Center for Foreign Language Learning and Targeted Preparation for Employment Abroad is being established. Its main task will be to coordinate vocational training courses for those wishing to work in other countries.

The center will analyze the needs of foreign employers for workers in different specialties. Based on this information, plans will be made to place orders for youth training in various professions and specializations.

Courses lasting up to 1 year will be organized at 27 vocational educational institutions in all regions. Classes will be conducted on a fee-contract basis.

At these courses, students will be taught disciplines related to their specialty, as well as English, German, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and other languages. Additionally, they will be introduced to the basics of the legislation, culture, and traditions of the host countries.

Meanwhile, learners who have independently studied a language will be able to receive reimbursement for their education expenses from the state budget. To do this, they must provide a certificate of at least level B2 proficiency (or B1 for participants of the dual education program Ausbildung in German).

The compensation amount will be 50% of the expenses on language courses, with the maximum amount being 10 BCU (3.4 million UZS). Additionally, the State Youth Policy Support Fund will reimburse expenses for obtaining a language certificate.
