At the trial for the Doc-1 Max case, the prosecutor requested sentencing the former head of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, S.K., and his two deputies, A.A. and M.N., to 18 years of imprisonment, a Kun.uz correspondent attending the trial session reported.
It was also stated that each of these officials should be deprived of the right to hold positions of material responsibility and executive roles for a period of 3 years.
Furthermore, the prosecutor has requested a prison sentence of 20 years for the Indian defendant, S.R.P.
At the trial, the state prosecutor sought compensation of 100 million UZS for each of the relatives of the 68 deceased and 16 seriously injured children and 20 million UZS for each of the two children who sustained minor injuries.
It had previously been reported that the preliminary investigation of the Doc-1 Max case was concluded and the case had moved to the negotiation stage.
As a reminder, the initial trial over the Doc-1 Max medicine, which caused the death of 68 children, took place on August 11, 2023. In the case, 23 individuals are being charged under various articles of the Criminal Code, with pretrial detention measures applied to nine of them.
