On February 6, Uzbekistan’s PM Abdulla Aripov had a phone call with his newly appointed Kazakhstani counterpart, Olzhas Bektenev, as confirmed by Bekzod Khidoyatov, the press secretary of the Uzbek Prime Minister.
At the beginning of the conversation, Aripov warmly congratulated Bektenev on his confirmation as the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
The parties reflected on the importance of collaboration for the continued development of the strategic partnership and alliance between their nations, expressing hope for the successful realization of the critical tasks set before their governments.
Before his appointment as the Prime Minister, Olzhas Bektenev led the presidential administration and the anti-corruption service in Kazakhstan.
