The organizational issue was also discussed at the plenum. The Chairman of the Political Council of the “Adolat” SDP of Uzbekistan Bakhrom Abdukhalimov, according to his statement, was relieved of the post of Chairman of the Political Council by open voting.

The candidacy of Robakhon Makhmudova for the post of party chairperson was considered and elected by members of the political council through open voting.

Robakhon Makhmudova was born in 1958 in the city of Fergana. In 1983, she graduated from the Faculty of Law of Tashkent State University. Previously, she worked as the chairperson of the Fergana Regional Criminal Court, and in 2017-2020 – the head of the People’s Reception of the President of Uzbekistan in the Fergana region.

In January 2020, she was elected senator from the Fergana region, and later to the post of chairperson of the Senate Committee on Science, Education and Health.

Since July 2020, he has been working as the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan – Chairperson of the Judicial Collegium for Administrative Cases.

Robakhon Makhmudova participated as a candidate in the early presidential elections held in June 2023.
