During the meeting, Nasriyev presented copies of his credentials to the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for the further development of cooperation in such areas as trade, innovation, technology, investment, transport, communications and tourism.
The sides noted that the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Tehran on June 18, 2023, the visit of the President of Iran to Samarkand on September 14-16, 2022, as well as to Tashkent on November 9 last year created a solid basis for the further development of multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry stressed that relations between the countries in the fields of politics, inter-parliamentary relations, trade and economics, innovation, and agriculture have risen to a new level.
