Uzbekistan’s new ambassador to Poland presents credentials to Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau

At the meeting, the minister warmly recalled his visit to Tashkent and Samarkand in June 2022 and negotiations with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It was noted that in recent years, Uzbek-Polish cooperation has significantly strengthened and been filled with new and practical content, especially in the trade and economic sphere. There is growing interest among Polish business circles in developing ties with Uzbek partners.

The head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs highly appreciated the prospects for cooperation in the textile industry and expressed his readiness to comprehensively assist in increasing the import of semi-finished and finished light industry products from Uzbekistan to Poland.

It was emphasized that Poland and Uzbekistan are linked by close cultural and humanitarian ties. 

The launch of regular direct flights on the Warsaw-Tashkent-Warsaw route from February 2024 will help increase the flow of Polish tourists and develop mutual trade and economic cooperation.

Amirsaid Agzamkhodjayev replaced Bakhrom Babayev, who since 2015 headed the diplomatic mission in Warsaw as Charge d'Affaires of Uzbekistan in Poland and since May 2019 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
