At the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of expanding business cooperation, strengthening trade and economic ties, as well as intensifying relations between the Guangdong province and the regions of Uzbekistan.

The Chinese province of Guangdong and its center Guangzhou play an important role in the socio-economic life of the PRC and are key partners of the regions of Uzbekistan. 

In 2020, Uzbekistan opened a Consulate General in Guangzhou.
