During the meeting, it was emphasized that in recent years, bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Spain has reached a new multifaceted level and has been very productive.
The Secretary of State of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude to the Uzbek diplomat for his contribution to the development of bilateral relations and giving them sustainable dynamics.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in the further successful development of bilateral relations and the implementation of previously reached agreements.
It should be recalled that Jakhongir Ganiyev has been working at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Madrid since 2017: first as Charge d’Affaires, in 2018, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), in 2020, he was also approved as Ambassador to the Vatican and Representative part-time at the International Olive Council. Before that, from 2007 to 2012, he was Ambassador to Italy and at the same time, Permanent Representative to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Program (WFP).
