At the meeting, a “roadmap” for mutual cooperation was developed together with foreign pedagogues, Saida Mirziyoyeva reported.

“If we aim to raise a knowledgeable, self-confident, worthy generation, we need two things: love for our mother tongue and thorough study of foreign languages.

Knowing a foreign language is the key to opening the borders of the world, the doors of global information, acquiring new knowledge,” Mirziyoyeva wrote on her page on the social network.

According to her, as a result of cooperation with foreign language teaching pedagogues, “our children will have the opportunity to learn from the best teachers, and our teachers will have the opportunity to improve their knowledge during the necessary master classes”, and in Uzbekistan, “an educated generation will grow up that knows no borders”.

“An investment in youth education is an investment in a better future!” – the assistant of the President of Uzbekistan said.

More than 500 teachers invited as part of this project will teach in schools and also exchange experience with local teachers.

According to Hilola Umarova, the minister of preschool and school education, the processes of project implementation and future plans were discussed with teachers invited from abroad and foreign partners at the meeting.

“We listened to the opinions of our local and foreign pedagogues together with our partners – representatives of the US, Great Britain, France, Germany, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, as well as UNESCO, UNICEF, USAID, the British Council, the French Alliance, and the Goethe Institute. Suggestions were made by our partners on further development of foreign language teaching in Uzbekistan.

At the end of the meeting, a joint “roadmap” aimed at improving foreign language teaching and cooperation was developed,” the minister noted.
