On November 7, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva met with US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu.
“During the dialogue, we discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between our countries in the fields of education, culture, ensuring the rights of women and children. We also exchanged views on media activities and civil society support in Uzbekistan, as well as mutual cooperation in the field of human rights,” Saida Mirziyoyeva wrote on the social network.
Earlier, it was reported that Donald Lu will visit Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and India on November 4-11, meet with the officials of the Uzbek government, discuss issues of expanding the security partnership of the two countries in order to solve regional problems, strengthen people-to-people ties, and diversify trade and investment.
