President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in his speech at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States, called not to forget the situation in neighboring Afghanistan against the background of other international conflicts.

"Establishing peace and tranquility on the multi-ethnic land of Afghanistan, whose history and destiny is closely related to the Turkic people for thousands of years, is the main condition for ensuring strategic stability and security in our region. However, in the current situation where conflicts and wars are escalating in other parts of the world, this problem is increasingly absent from the attention of the international community.

We call for the development of concrete mechanisms aimed at solving acute social problems in this country, not to postpone the provision of humanitarian aid to the Afghan people.

We need a peaceful and stable Afghanistan that actively participates in the processes of regional partnership and economic cooperation with all its neighbors.

The initiative to build the Trans-Afghan railway, which we are promoting, serves this noble purpose.

Uzbekistan will continue to provide necessary assistance to the Afghan people. We will actively continue to provide humanitarian aid through the logistics hub in Termez, and train Afghan citizens in the educational center," said the President of Uzbekistan.

Mirziyoyev is confident that the important documents and decisions adopted at the meeting, including the summit declaration and the Astana Act, will be the next bold steps towards a bright future, and the brotherly nations, which have experienced many trials throughout their history and found solutions to them together, will continue to do great things in the future.
