The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan has given important recommendations to Uzbeks visiting India following reports about the outbreak of the Nipah virus in the state of Kerala.

As of September 22, six cases of Nipah infection were confirmed, killing two people.

To avoid the virus, the Ministry of Health has reminded Uzbeks planning to travel to India that it is important to adhere to the following recommendations:

First of all, comply with the rules of personal hygiene;
wash fruits thoroughly before eating;

the most important thing is not to eat anything that has been affected by bats.

“Do not forget that it is important to follow the established rules and recommendations in the prevention of any disease,” the report says.
