Almost half the applicants failed to get minimum passing score in state exams for undergraduate courses

According to open data on the mandat.uzbmb.uz website, 888,472 applicants took the exams to public higher education institutions this year.

Reportedly, 439,337 applicants (49.4%) failed to get the minimum passing score, which is 56.7. It means they are disqualified even before the final results are announced. Also, 59,866 applicants did not attend the test.

Compared to last year, results have slightly improved. In 2022, 51.2% of the applicants (around 550,000 people) failed to score 56.7.

Among regions, Syrdarya had the highest rate of failure – 54.9%, followed by Andijan (52.9%) and Tashkent regions (52.4%).
