Uzbekistan and India plan to create a modern cancer center in Samarkand

Deputy governor of the Samarkand region Rustam Kobilov presented information about the favorable conditions created in our country for fruitful international cooperation in various fields, including in the field of medicine. Particular attention was paid to the capabilities of the medical infrastructure and healthcare institutions, as well as the potential of Samarkand industry specialists.

Raman Sodhi, MD of Stemz Healthcare Pvt Ltd, expressing interest in establishing cooperation with medical institutions of Uzbekistan, noted that organizational issues and prospects for the future joint clinic are being studied.

It was noted that the oncology center will be equipped with modern and advanced technologies, highly qualified specialists will be involved in its activities, and structural work will be launched to improve the skills of Uzbek medical workers.

During the videoconference meeting, the parties reached an agreement on organizing a visit of the delegation of the Indian company to Samarkand in the near future.

It should be recalled that the multidisciplinary Uzbek-Indian medical center "Zarmed Pratiksha Hospital Group" operates in Samarkand today.
