Two district governors of the Tashkent region have written applications to resign. This is known from the decisions of the regional governor, Zoyir Mirzaev, made on the E-Qaror portal on August 3.
As it turned out, on August 2, Zangiota district governor Abdivahob Tamikayev and Bekabad district governor Furkat Khudoyberdiyev wrote an application for dismissal from their positions. The regional governor released them from their positions and sent the decisions on this to the district councils of people’s deputies.
Abdivahob Tamikayev has been the head of Zangiota district for 6 years – Tamikayev, who previously worked as the chairman of the board of Agrobank, was appointed the head of this district in July 2017.
Furkat Khudoyberdiyev has been the governor of Bekabad district since February 2020. Prior to that, he worked as the head of the Tashkent regional administration’s finance department.
On August 2, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev fired the first deputy of the governor of Tashkent region for poverty alleviation Muzaffar Fayziyev, governor of Kibray district Miragzam Kosimov and governor of Yangiyul district Ulugbek Yalgashev at a videoconference meeting held on August 2 during his visit to Tashkent region.
At the meeting, it was noted that the export of textile products in Yangiyul district, Bekabad and Chirchik cities, electrical engineering products in Zangiata and Yukori Chirchik, construction materials in Almalyk city decreased compared to last year.
It was also criticized that in the last three years industrial products decreased by 3.6% in Bekabad district, and during this period Zangiata’s share in the regional industry decreased from 8.3% to 3.5%.
