At the meeting chaired by the President, it was noted that more than 600 crimes were committed due to various conflicts in the last six months.
About 40% of women’s crimes are committed by women who do not work or are not permanently employed. In addition, about 2.7 thousand women suffered from crime, and about 20 thousand – from family violence.
The head of state mentioned that the body of an 11-year-old girl was recently found in Fergana with signs of rape and murder, and said that this situation shows how serious the situation is.
In some mahallas, it was noted that the Institute of Women’s Activists is not yielding the expected results.
According to the presidential instruction, within the framework of the newly created National Agency for Social Protection, the following will be established in each district:
• social service centers that provide social services on the basis of the “single window” principle;
• “mobile groups” consisting of psychologist, lawyer, social worker;
• “call-centers” for social support of women who have suffered violence.
The task of expanding legal and psychological support services for women who found themselves in difficult situations was set.
By the end of the year, the Agency, together with regional governors, will launch “Inson” centers providing social assistance to the population in all regions.
