Abdurahmon Abduvaliyev resigns as head of Uzavtoyul

Abdurakhman Abduvaliyev, the chairman of the State Committee of Highways of Uzbekistan, was fired. This was announced at the meeting of the videoconference meeting chaired by the President.

The presidential press service noted that his dismissal was due to "allowing slowness in attracting investments and their utilization".

For information, Abdurakhman Abduvaliyev was born in 1956 in Tashkent. In 1978, he graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Motor Transport and Roads.

Abdurakhman Abduvaliyev has been the chief road worker of Uzbekistan for many years.

He started his work in the field in 1978 as a foreman in the Road Construction Department No. 2 of the Ministry of Construction and Highways and rose to the level of the head of the department.

In 1991-1994, he was the head of the Uzneftetrans republican administration of the Ministry of Automobile Transport of Uzbekistan, in 1994-2001, he was the chairman of the board of the production concern of the Uzavtotrans state Uzavtotransta'minot JSC, in 2001, he was the chairman of the board of the Uztranssanoat republic association of motor transport industrial enterprises.

Since 2001, he has been leading the road sector of Uzbekistan - in 2001-2013, he was the head of the Agency of Road and River Transport of Uzbekistan, in 2013-2017, he was the chairman of the board of the Uzavtoyul JSC, in 2017-2019, he was the chairman of the State Committee of Highways. Since 2019, he was the chairman of the Committee of Highways under the Transport Ministry.
