The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Volgograd Oblast reported that the citizens of Uzbekistan applied to the representative office of the Agency for External Labor Migration, v102.ru reports.

According to labor migrants, the employer confiscated their identification documents, wages had not been paid for a long time, and an unreasonable long working day was established. The appeal was recorded in May of this year.

“As a result of the inspection carried out by the supervisory authorities, no violations of migration legislation in relation to 62 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan were revealed in the activities of citizen E., the head of the peasant farm,” the Ombudsman’s office said.

However, the audit revealed violations of labor laws. For example, labor contracts concluded with Uzbeks did not contain mandatory information about a work permit or a patent for labor activity, about providing medical assistance to an employee.

Violations of the procedure for paying salaries and providing workers with personal protective equipment, as well as conducting briefings on labor protection, were also established.

The head of the farm was warned. The perpetrators were brought to administrative responsibility.
