20-year-old blogger who spread a banned religious lecture in Samarkand imprisoned for 3 years

In the Kattakurgan district of Samarkand region, it was found that a young blogger opened a profile on Instagram and distributed lectures based on the ideas of religious fanaticism on May 13, 2022.

In the banned lecture, Abu Salah was on the battlefield, Muslims were being executed there, Muslims were being humiliated in prisons, and in such a time of oppression, there was no need to argue about various unnecessary advices, and it was necessary to rush to Jihad.

In addition, it was found that in September 2022, the accused sent religious lectures to several acquaintances in the Russian Federation via Telegram.

The criminal case was considered in the Kattakurgan district court on criminalproceedings. Taking into account the young man's age, he was sentenced based on the principle of humanity.

During the trial, the 20-year-old man explained that he did not understand the true meaning of the messages he posted on his Instagram and Telegram profiles, saying that he only wanted to attract public attention in order to collect subscribers.

"If I had known that it would turn out like this, I wouldn't disseminate them. I think more about my parents and relatives," the accused said.

According to the court verdict, the defendant was found guilty of committing the crime under Paragraph "g" of Article 244-1, Part 3 of the Criminal Code, and was sentenced to 3-year imprisonment in accordance with Article 57 of the Criminal Code.
