“We will speed up the work of ensuring environmental stability in the capital, turning it into one of the metropolises with clean air. Therefore, by 2030, we will reduce the amount of harmful gases released into the air by 150,000 tons or 50%,” the candidate said.

He noted that 1,200 additional electric buses will be brought to the city and their share in public transport will increase to 50%.

“The rest of the buses will be switched to natural gas fuel with 3 times less harmful emissions. That is, there will be no single diesel-powered bus,” the candidate said.

The candidate said that the principle of “safe and smooth road” will be widely introduced due to the digitization of traffic management.

In order to reduce traffic on the basis of advanced foreign experience:

•  “smart intersection” and “smart traffic light” management system will be implemented at all intersections (605) (now - 64);
•  multi-storey parking lots will be organized at 5 entrances to the city and around 6 metro stations with high passenger traffic;
•  12 overpasses will be built on streets with high traffic, and modern parking meters with 3,000 spaces will be installed along the roads.

“In order to make the population more comfortable, a 15-kilometer long aboveground metro or tram line with a capacity of 115,000 passengers will be built from Dustlik metro station to New Tashkent,” the candidate said.
