The document was signed by Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev and Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation reports.
The “roadmap” was approved as part of the implementation of the memorandum of understanding between the governments of the two countries in the development of logistics corridors in Uzbekistan.
The document will allow Uzbekistan and Russia to carry out mutual deliveries of agricultural products in an increased volume using accelerated rail transportation along agreed routes.
According to the “roadmap”, by the end of 2023, the parties agreed to hold bilateral meetings with product manufacturers and analyze data from shippers on problematic issues when transporting goods by full-range mixed trains.
