Law enforcement officers, together with foreign colleagues, detained a 36-year-old man, Sh. N., who was wanted for committing especially serious crimes against Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

It is noted that Sh. N., having fallen under the influence of the ideas of religious extremists and terrorist organizations, constantly communicated with them through social networks. In 2016, he moved to the territory of Syria, where he joined the ranks of an international terrorist organization and underwent combat training.

The man was detained in one of the foreign countries and extradited to Uzbekistan.

Currently, investigative actions are being carried out within the framework of the criminal case initiated against the detainee.
