The State Security Service put an end to illegal cases related to admission to higher education institutions, the SSS reported.
In an operative event held in cooperation with the SSS Department of Namangan region and regional DIA officers, a teacher of Namangan State University earned the trust of a citizen, promised him enrolment of his relative to a higher educational institution in Kyrgyzstan through his acquaintances. He was detained material evidence when received $4,000 in exchange for transferring his studies to a higher educational institution in Uzbekistan.
An English teacher of a public school in the Past Dargom district of Samarkand region promised to prepare a fake document stating that a citizen living in the Taylak district is a student of a foreign higher education institution. When he received $6,000 for admission to the 2nd course of Samarkand State Medical University and $1,200 for granting his relative a national English language certificate (in total – $7,200), he was caught by employees of the Samarkand Regional SSS Department and the Regional PGO Department.
A person living in the city of Gulistan was caught by employees of the State Security Service and the PGO Department while demanding $6,000 and receiving $5,100 in exchange for enrolling a citizen living in the city of Yangiyer to the part-time education department of the Gulistan State University. It became known that he had to give $4,600 of this money to a teacher of the National Center for Training Teachers in New Methods, and this person was caught when he received $200.
Currently, on the above facts, criminal cases have been initiated against these citizens under Articles 168 and 28,211 of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
