Social networks circulated a video showing a parent beating a minor girl in Koson district. This situation was filmed by the minor girl’s uncle and reported to the DIA. The information service of the Regional DIA provided information about the incident.

Allegedly, on April 16, at approximately 11:30, citizen H.G. (born in 2009), living in Karabayir mahalla of Kason district, was beaten by her mother M.M. (born in 1982) and her father T.R. (born in 1978). 

In the video, it can be seen that a woman shook a girl sitting on the ground and crying, forced her to stand up. At that moment, a father ran to them with a knife in his hand. And the girl attempted to run along the wide field. The woman blocked her way and caught her. The father arrived and started beating the girl, then the woman tried to stop the father because this was being filmed.

The uncle, who was recording the situation, repeated several times: “I will do my best to imprison your family”. After that, he submitted the video to the police department. 

Currently, all the participants of the incident have been identified and investigations are being carried. 

It is noted that the girl’s father was sent to a psychiatric dispensary for examination. Forensic examination was appointed to determine the injuries inflicted on the girl.

According to “Novosti Kashkadari” Telegram channel, the woman in the video is the girl’s stepmother. In 2018, the girl’s mother died in an accident, after which her father remarried.

The PGO press service reported that on the above fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 110 (Torture) of the Criminal Code.

“Now one suspect has been detained in procedural order. Investigative actions are being carried out,” the report said.
