In the annual ranking of countries on air pollution, Uzbekistan took the 20th place with a score of 33.5 μg/m3, the IQAir portal reported. 

It is noted that, at the same time, the annual concentration of PM 2.5 exceeds the norm by 6.7 times (the norm set by WHO is 5 μg/m3).

Reportedly, the 20th place in the ranking was given based on the data of the monitoring station in Tashkent.

Among the countries of Central Asia, only Tajikistan ranks higher than us.

In five cities of Kazakhstan, the level of air pollution is below the standard set by WHO.

According to the rating, the cleanest air is recorded in Australia, New Zealand, Grenada, Finland, Estonia and Iceland.

It is noted that economically developed countries - the USA, Great Britain, Switzerland, etc., use advanced technologies for environmental protection, as well as the high position of technical regulatory documents - are at the bottom of the ranking.
