According to the Tashkent city police department, on February 12, a man was detained in the Sergeli district, who was trying to hide drugs on a deserted street.
During the check, 50 sachets with a greyish-brown substance with a specific odor, with a total weight of 160 grams, were found and seized from the 30-year-old man (citizen A.).
According to the conclusion of the examination, the substance turned out to be heroin.
As the detainee stated, he bought drugs for himself through online stores. After a while, they wrote to him and offered him a job.
For the first time, the man took a bag of hashish, which he hid in the indicated place. The second time, he took a substance from the indicated place, which he then put into bags.
On the day of his arrest, he had 50 bags with him, of which he managed to hide only one.
In the Investigation Department of the Sergeli district DIA, the man repented of his deed.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 273-5 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Illegal sale of narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances in large quantities). An investigation is underway.
Currently, citizen A. is in custody. Under this article, he may face a sentence of imprisonment from 10 to 20 years.
