Ruslanbek Davletov becomes presidential adviser

According to Sherzod Asadov, press secretary of the head of state, Ruslanbek Davletov was appointed by a presidential decree to the post of adviser to the president on issues of socio-political development and, in this regard, was relieved of the post of minister of justice.

In early October, it was reported that Ruslanbek Davletov could be appointed to the position of presidential adviser on coordinating the activities of law enforcement and regulatory agencies.

For information, Ruslanbek Davletov, 44, has been heading Uzbekistan’s justice system for five years. According to unconfirmed information, the prosecutor of the Bukhara region Makhmud Istamov may be a candidate for his place.

Bakhtiyor Islomov, who served as presidential adviser on legal issues, was appointed chairman of the Supreme Court in August.
