“Hello, my name is gas, but I doubt it. I can only blink. I cannot even make tea for 20 minutes.

My owners have returned to my past – to kiln. Yes, that’s it. My address: Chuponota mahalla, Uchtepa district,” the post reads.

Aziza Kurbonova tagged the Uchtepa district administration and the Uchtepa district department of “Khududgaztaminot” JSC to her post.

The post was reacted to by a profile registered under the name “Uchtepa district administration”.

“Know your limits, Azizakhon, why are you pouring oil on the fire? Everything is under control. Come here, work in Uchtepa one day, I’ll see. Stop provoking people’s anger.

What have you done for Uchtepa? How easy is it to sit on top and play it smart? I was also there where you are sitting for a long time, but I did not become so arrogant and cause someone’s anger, thank God,” the comment reads.

Aziza Kurbonova asked the person, who was scolding her under the profile of the district administration, to introduce himself.

“My name is the Uchtepa district administration, and I am with my people every day, I breathe the air they breathe, I walk the paths they walk, I live with their pain. This is who I am, Azizabonu. And I recommend that you treat elders with respect,” owner of the profile “Uchtepa district administration” answered the journalist’s question.

Aziza Kurbonova, who did not get an answer to her question, assumed that the person who was writing to her was Turabek Turayev, the press secretary of the district khokim. The interlocutor neither confirmed nor denied it. On the contrary, he demanded respect from the journalist by saying “Turabek Turayev is much older than you, he is not your compeer”.

After these correspondences, Aziza Kurbonova posted a new post on her page with screenshots attached and referred to comments published on the Davletov.uz Telegram channel, inviting officials to communicate with the people.

“Did you ask for communication? Here it is.

This is how the Facebook account of the Uchtepa district administration responded to my post about gas. Most likely, these are the words of the head of the press service. He neither answered nor denied my question about “Turabek Turayev”. A classic answer, isn’t it?

Long live the cliché “don’t complain, what have you done to the country?”, long live the level of information service.

Long live the account of Uchtepa district administration, who breathed this air together with its people, who did not make others angry when he worked on the top and did not “play it smart”.

Long live Azizabonu, who pours oil on the fire and has done nothing for the district, does not respect the elders, sits on the top where the Uchtepa district administration’s account used to sit.

Here is a master class in Uzbek crisis communication and public relations. Learn. It’s a pity!” the journalist wrote.

This time, the press secretary of Uchtepa district khokim Turabek Turayev entered into a debate with the journalist from his personal profile. In the comments, Internet users assumed that in the first post, he confused his district administration profile with the personal one.

In a place where the situation can be changed in a positive direction with a simple explanation, the angry attitude of the district official towards the citizen’s critical address, accusing her of making the people angry, caused the criticism of social network users.

“Is it the citizens who are demanding their rights that provoke the anger of the people or you? It should be clarified, isn’t it? Citizens pay taxes for the country. You get a salary from taxes, what have you done for the citizen?” Ilkhom Ruziyev wrote.

“Does an official think like that? In fact, the state office should serve the population,” Jamshid Khakimov said.

“Aziza wrote with respect. In fact, you are misrepresenting it. I’m sorry, if the administration is reacting like this, to whom will the people tell their issues? I am sorry to have employees like you.

It is clear that Aziza wrote this post as a citizen. I don’t think she would have made this post if she was really “sitting on the top and playing it smart”. By sharing this post, she is expressing the people’s pain, look at your reaction.

Usually, one would expect a different reaction from the authorities to such posts, but it seems that you like to argue,” Iroda Bakirova said.

Turabek Turayev first worked as the editor of the “Yoshlar” TV channel, and later as the head of the press service of the State Tax Committee, the Ministry of Justice, Labor, Kindergarten, and the coordinator of the press service of the Tashkent city administration. Since 2021, he has been working as the press secretary of the Uchtepa district khokim.

On the Telegram channel of Uchtepa district administration, a video statement of the head of the district gas supply enterprise, Dilmurod Koriyev, was published regarding the problem raised by Aziza Kurbonova. In the video, the official admitted that there were interruptions in the gas supply these days and said that the gas pressure would be normalized in two days.

Earlier, the Ministry of Energy reported that the pressure of natural gas in the main gas pipelines and networks has dropped sharply after the days started to cool down, therefore, it called on consumers to understand the problems of electricity and gas supply.

In the explanation of the Ministry, it was also noted that short-term restrictions are being introduced in the electricity supply in order to prevent major accidents. In the letter sent by the “National Dispatch Center” SUE to the heads of all regional power grid enterprises, they were asked to strictly fulfill the hourly electricity consumption task in order to prevent the occurrence of major emergencies (blackouts) in the energy system. Due to supply problems, Uzbekistan stopped supplying electricity to Afghanistan.

Public activists expressed their concern that, unlike previous years, serious problems are observed in energy supply before the start of severe cold.
