Alisher Kadirov recalled that, according to Article 154-1 of the Criminal Code, the entry of citizens of Uzbekistan into military service, into the service of the security, police, military justice or other similar bodies of foreign states is punishable by restriction of liberty for a term of 3 to 5 years or imprisonment for a period of 3 to 5 years.

However, the leader of the political party believes that tougher measures should be taken against mercenaries.

“As soon as a person (a citizen of Uzbekistan) is hired, from that day on he must be deprived of citizenship and banned from entering Uzbekistan,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Alisher Kadirov also said that they plan to make appropriate changes to the legislation.

It should be recalled that earlier in Perm, it was proposed to create a battalion named “Amir Temur” and support the “special operation” in Ukraine. The man who called on Uzbeks to take part in the war against Ukraine is Jakhongir Jalolov. He is a citizen of the Russian Federation and the head of the “Central Asian Society of Uzbeks of the Perm Territory”.

Then, the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations again reminded that, according to Article 154-1 of the Criminal Code, the entry of citizens of Uzbekistan into military service, into service in security agencies, police, military justice or other similar bodies of foreign states is punishable by restriction freedom for a term of 3 to 5 years or imprisonment for a term of 3 to 5 years.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia also warned Uzbeks against creating volunteer battalions and (or) participating in hostilities on the territory of foreign states for which criminal liability has been established.
