At an AIMC briefing, the head of the information service of the Agency for Protecting Consumer Rights, Mokhrukhsor Togayeva, informed about the operation of the system.

It was noted that as a result of the delay in the periodic verification of gas meters due to the introduction of quarantine measures and the subsequent installation of new smart meters, within the framework of the state program, measures are being taken to return 634 million 700 thousand soums paid by more than 14,000 consumers.

Despite the shutdown of the supply of natural gas to some households in the country, 522,000 consumers paid in advance for natural gas on their subscriber accounts for more than 16 billion soums. Today, such consumers are recalculated in the amount of more than 8 million soums.

In order to recalculate the remaining funds to consumers, the documents collected in this case were transferred to the Prosecutor General’s Office to receive an opinion in the prescribed manner.

It was noted that the study is being conducted in cooperation with the regional prosecutor’s offices and regional PGO departments.
