During the meeting, the progress of implementation of current projects in the energy sector, prospects for cooperation and development of new projects, including on the basis of public-private partnerships, were discussed.
The Uzbek side especially noted the activities of the Tashkent representative office of the Mitsubishi Corporation, established in 1993, and its role in the implementation over the years of such large investment projects as the introduction of combined cycle turbines at Navoi, Talimarjan, Turakurgan and other power plants of the energy system of the republic.
In turn, Hiroyoshi Kainuma noted with satisfaction the positive shifts in the economy of the republic in recent years, despite the negative impact of the pandemic around the world, as well as the favorable conditions created for private investors. He assured that the Japanese side would continue to work to involve the company in the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan.
