“The first batch of locally-made Sputnik V vaccine in the amount of 130,000 doses was handed over to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing and Public Health Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” the message reads.

It also became known that all these vaccines will be used exclusively in Uzbekistan. There is no information yet about when exactly they will arrive at the vaccination centers.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Health Ministry Furkat Sanayev said that the first batch of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine produced in Uzbekistan was sent for quality control to the developer of the drug – to the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamaley.

“The pharmaceutical company Jurabek Laboratories, which will produce the Russian Sputnik V, has already produced the first trial batch of the vaccine and sent it for quality control to the drug developer – the Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Gamaley – and to the State Center for Expertise and Standardization of Medicines, medical products and medical equipment under the Agency for Pharmaceutical Industry Development of Uzbekistan,” Sanayev said.

According to him, analyzes of the drug on average will take about 20 days, it is expected that it will be released on the domestic market this month.
