As the press service of the Health Ministry reported, during the autumn and winter seasons, influenza and other acute respiratory viral infectious diseases are actively spreading among children.
“Since the beginning of September, the spread of seasonal acute respiratory viral infections has been brought under control. All children who fell ill are under the supervision of doctors,” the message reads.
The Ministry of Health stressed that secondary schools and kindergartens will not be closed for quarantine.
“If children have fever, they will go to the doctor. During the check, it becomes known that there are no unknown viruses. It is a simple respiratory viral infection. There is no need to panic during seasonal illness,” Nurmat Otabekov, deputy head of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service, said.
The department also recommended that at the first sign of illness, citizens should contact a family doctor.
Previously, it was reported that in Uzbekistan, children over 12 years of age can voluntarily receive the Pfizer vaccine against COVID-19.
