“The Uzbekistan Football Association strongly condemns such incidents. The irresponsibility and unethical behavior of these people tarnishes the image of Uzbek football,” the message reads.
The case is currently being investigated by the relevant law enforcement agencies. A forensic medical examination was also appointed.
Until the situation is clarified by law enforcement agencies, the UFA has suspended the director general of the FC Surkhan Azamat Abdurakhmanov, sports director Abdumajid Toirov, the players Asror Gafurov, Javokhir Esonkulov and Akrom Khodjayev from any football-related activities.
