On September 15-16, the head of the National Security Bureau (BBN) of Poland Pavel Solokh was on an official visit to Uzbekistan.

As Polskie Radio reports, in Tashkent, Pavel Solokh met with the Secretary of the Security Council Viktor Makhmudov, Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and Defense Minister Bakhodir Kurbanov.

“Pavel Solokh discussed the current situation in the region after the seizure of power by the Taliban in Afghanistan and the related threats to European states, in particular, the migration crisis. The talks concerned, first of all, the prospects for the development of the situation and security in the Central Asian region, as well as terrorist threats. The issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of security and the defense industry were also touched upon,” the message reads.

It should be recalled that on August 25, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

The sides also exchanged views on the current situation in the region in the context of the development of the situation in Afghanistan.
