Taking into account the acute epidemiological situation in the country, in order to improve the quality of medical services to the population even on the holidays announced on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Ministry of Health has established round-the-clock operation of all medical institutions in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the city of Tashkent and the regions in accordance with the law.
According to it:
- special COVID-19 polyclinics are fully operational;
- in 199 multidisciplinary polyclinics of the country, three general practitioners and one pediatrician, as well as three nurses and staff in charge of the treatment room, are on duty around the clock in two shifts;
- posts of 2-3 family doctors and nurses working around the clock are set up in all family clinics with appropriate vehicles attached;
- through the call center (1003), qualified specialists are answering the questions of the population about the coronavirus day and night.
Today, a total of 82 specialized hospitals operate across the country to treat patients with coronavirus infection, pneumonia or suspected of these syndromes and other infectious diseases.
As the disease is asymptomatic and mild, 124 specialized polyclinics have been set up to monitor the health and treatment of patients treated at home and to provide outpatient and inpatient care. There are 222 “mobile teams”.
“Despite the measures taken, there is a sharp increase in calls to the ambulance service over the weekend. This can also cause difficulties in serving other patients, who are not related to the coronavirus.
In this case, taking into account the work and time of paramedics serving our people, the health of patients, we ask our compatriots who have symptoms of coronavirus to apply to institutions that serve only such patients,” the ministry said in a statement.
Information on the addresses and telephone numbers of special polyclinics operating in each district of Tashkent can be found here.
“Take care of yourself and your beloved ones during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is becoming more risky. Remember, vaccination is the only way to fight the virus,” the ministry concluded.
