The process of registering and sending an application through the online admission system for pupils in grade 1 of secondary public schools for the 2021-2022 academic year – the my.maktab.uz platform – has been extended from July 5 to July 20. The Deputy Minister of Public Education Rustam Karimjonov said at the AIMC press conference.
Admission of pupils to grade 1 in the 2021-2022 academic year is carried out on an experimental basis in electronic form. Last year, this process was launched only in the city of Tashkent, and this year it has also been introduced in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the city of Tashkent and regional centers. 641 thousand first-graders will be accepted in the republic this year. 110 thousand of them are planned to be accepted through this e-platform. Now, through this system, more than 41 thousand applications have been received from parents for enrolling a child in grade 1.
“The process of online admission as an experiment was planned to be carried out from June 15 to July 5. Unfortunately, all parents did not have time to do this on time, and technical problems were observed in the process. In this regard, we considered it necessary to extend the deadline for submitting online applications for grade 1 from July 5 to July 20. This is done to create a favorable environment for the parents. We ask them to submit applications within these terms,” the Deputy Minister said.
