In the 2021-2022 academic year, more than 24 thousand school graduates in Tashkent will submit documents to universities, reports the head of the main department of education of Tashkent city, Farogat Akhmadjonova.

Farogat Akhmadjonova spoke about the issues of employment of graduates and reported that more than 29 thousand students are finishing their studies at schools in Tashkent.

“The graduates were surveyed about their plans after graduation. According to the results, more than 24 thousand, that is 85 percent of graduates, expressed a desire to study at higher education institutions. More than 1,700 students want to continue their studies at vocational colleges and technical schools, and more than 2,000 are going to work. Over 400 graduates intend to continue their studies or start working abroad. 274 graduates wish to enter the military service.

Also, we are working with 57 graduates with disabilities: together with partner organizations, we take measures to employ them, at least to online jobs,” says Farogat Akhmadjonova.

Last year, 36 percent of graduates were enrolled in universities. In the current academic year, higher acceptance rates are expected. At the moment, more than 70 school graduates in the capital have already been accepted to foreign universities.
